The Bears Organization is proud to announce that Ernest Givins will be the Head Coach for our Inaugural Season! Ernest aka: EG, brings a wealth of experience to the Bears. EG graduated from the University of Louisville in 87'. He went on to play professional football after he was drafted in 86' by the Houston Oilers, 1st pick in the 2nd round. EG made an impression early and often in his debut year being the 6th rookie in NFL history to reach 1000 yds receiving. He had eight straight seasons with 50 catches or more. EG became the Oilers all time leading receiver in catches, yards per catch and touchdowns. He was a Five time all pro and Two time all Madden team. After Ernest finished his career in the NFL, he went on to start another career in coaching. EG became the Head Coach for the St. Pete Sharks. After racking up multiple championships in St. Pete, he decided it was time to leave and lead another organization to Championship status. He won another title with the Hernando Eagles in 2005. His accomplishments at the Minor League level are unmatched by most and sought after by many. Ernest to date has 10 championships and is an 8 time Coach of the Year with a winning percentage of .850. Ernest's desire to win can only be exceeded by his love for the game of football. The Bears are excited to have EG on board and can't wait to get the season started!
